Coastal Color Works specializes in Venetian plaster and custom decorative plaster finishes for residential and commercial interiors. These hand-applied finishes add depth, movement, and durability that standard paint cannot replicate.

Venetian plaster, tinted deep teal and hand-troweled in three coats. This is lime plaster the way it’s been done for centuries — burnished to bring up the depth, no paint, no faux finish. Every pass of the trowel stays in the surface, which is why no two walls ever look the same. Still learning always practicing Venetian plaster Faux finish repair is never a one-coat fix. You can’t just patch it and match it…..you gotta build the layers back up the same way they went on the first time. Patrice up on the scaffold blending a repair into a 20-ft wall so you’d never know it was touched. This is what “attention to detail” actually looks like. Staining exposed beams while a family is living in the house means we mask everything,3M tape, poly on the walls, paper on the ceiling, plastic over the furniture and we set up ventilation so fumes are moving out, not lingering in your home. Then at the end of each day, plastic comes down, ladders go out, and the room is yours again until we’re back in the morning. Getting a true limewash finish starts long before the lime ever touches the wall. Every seam and surface variation gets floated out to a flawless Level 5 finish first…because mineral finishes show every imperfection underneath.
